A GenXer is headed....
…to Cruel World 2024.
I have never been before but, the lineup looks interesting. I decided to go this year.
I really want to see Jesus and Mary Chain for some reason. It is the band that most calls to me. I would not mind seeing Simple Minds, Placebo, and Tones On Tail. I have already seen Gary Numan so can miss him. I do not want to see a few of the bands because of the fact they do not interest me or do not sound good anymore…looking at you Blondie for the last bit I mentioned. The 12/13 year old fangirl buried deep inside me is interested in finally seeing Duran Duran. Better late than never in seeing them. They are the headliner so where everyone ends up at end of day. It all depends on scheduling to know what I will see on the day and what I will miss. It will solidify what I plan to see.
I will be staying in L.A, until the 18th. I will hit up Universal Studios and just enjoy being down there, away from my parents and family stresses here, for a while. I will not be cramming a lot into days and just taking things as I want to see them. I am switching to a cool hotel after the first two nights which were bundled into the Cruel World package. It has a pool and everything. So, I will chill at the hotel a little as well as check things out in L.A.
I find it amusing people expect me to schedule my trip down to the moment I sleep and the moment I return. I do not get these “Go! Go! Go!” people. Why end up more tired when you return than when you left for vacation? It baffles me.
So, that is where I will be in may for a solid peart of the month. I look forward to it.
